The constellation isn't about astrology and whether your house of Saturn is in Aquarius or Capricorn.

 

Briefly put, the constellation is my vision of the unique associations of knowledge, experiences and impressions mingling in each person's mind.  Although an individual person may not discover a fundamentally new fact or live a totally unprecedented experience, the web of connections they thread between all these nodes in their personal network is unique to them.  The constellation nurtures the idea that greatness can come from intersections.                

 

By connecting distant pieces of knowledge or experiences, people can literally redraw the contours of the sky to outline new shapes for others to marvel at. In the constellation, the unique trajectories unfolding inside everyone's lives produce beautiful novelty. All the stars are sampled from a pool of shared resources, human culture, although they may never have co-existed within a single person's mind, who becomes the first vessel in which they assemble. Now that the bond is materialised, it can spread its glow to other constellations, emerging into the web of knowledge others can then sample from anew.

 

Constellations grow continuously, whenever someone accepts to suspend their disbelief for a few minutes, accepts a star from a distant relative, and tries to craft a space for it in the larger picture they have previously created. Adding to your constellation requires a readiness to be thrown off-course. And so everyday, think of how you can all at once be the fisherman who pulls out lone stars and the seamstress who threads them into a unique fabric that can be the canvas not just of your existence, but of that of others as well. Maybe you can light up the world in doing so. Maybe you can't and you think this is some New Age nonsense you don't want to hear anything about.  You can prefer to visualise this as a pure problem of graph theory or to sneer at it entirely. But doing so brings me a lot of admiration for the process of reading, listening, talking, reflecting, sharing, disagreeing, ..living in short.

 

This website is an attempt to materialise just a few specks of this constellation, to make it tangible, to share it with others. I have no ambitions in doing so, only perhaps to gift you a few stars and spillover even a sliver of light into your world.
